Handcarved woodblock print measuring 9" x 9". The image has been carved out of battleship grey linoleum and printed onto a high-quality acid-free 140 lb (300 gsm) cold press paper. This is a single-layer woodblock print. This is printed in a limited edition run of 20 prints and will never be printed again. The unique qualities and textural elements within the knotted rope intrigue me greatly. My focus was to capture the subtle beauty that lies within often unobserved objects. The pattern, texture, and interlacing strands caught my attention. This piece mixes my interest in extreme detail and precise linework while depicting objects that typically are not considered beautiful or interesting. This print fits into an 11" x 14" frame with a smaller mat or any standard size square frame.
